  Islamabad, the 8^th September, 2005

    S.R.O. 921 (I)/2005.---In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices (Control and Prevention) Ordinance, 1970 (V of 1970), read with Section 4 thereof, the Monopoly Control Authority is pleased to direct that the following amendment shall be made in the Monopoly Control Authority (Value of Assets) Rules, 1995, namely:----

  In the aforesaid Rules,----

  In Rule 2, for the words “three hundred million” the words “four billion” shall be substituted.

Monopoly Control Authority (Value of Assets ) Rules 1995

  No.  F. 39 (1) MCA[Admin]91.__In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices (Control and Prevention) Ordinance, 1970 (V of 1970), read with section 4 thereof, the Monopoly Control Authority hereby makes the following rules, namely:--

  1.        Short Title and Commencement:

  (i)                   These rules may be called the Monopoly control Authority (Value of Assets) Rules, 1995.

  (ii)                 They shall come into force at once.

  2.        Total value of Assets:

For the purpose of clause (a)of section 4 of the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices (Control and Prevention) Ordinance, 1970 (V of 1970), the amount of the total value of assets shall be not less than three hundred million rupees.

  3.        Repeal:

  The Monopoly Control Authority (Value of Assets ) Rules, 1991, are hereby repealed.
